We all know what a Startup is, chances are that if you are reading this article you have at least dreamt about working in one or founding one. But what does the contamination has to do with it?

Last year I had one of the most interesting experiences of my life. I was accepted in a program called “Contamination Lab”, informally known as “CLab”. The CLab is one of the most famous program for Startup in Italy, it is backed by Venture Capitalists and open to Universitarian students or new grads with or without a business idea but with strong motivation and some entrepreneurial spirit.

For those who might not know it, a Venture Capitalist is a private equity investor that provides capital to companies exhibiting high growth potential in exchange for an equity stake.

But let us talk about the contamination’s side of this story; the Collins dictionary definition states that contamination is:

The act or process of contaminating or the state of being contaminated.

Ok, maybe this definition does not clarify much of what I am trying to explain here, so I will try with a different approach. Do you know which are the best U.S places/cities for starting a startup? (source)

Seattle (WA), Austin(TX), and San Josè (CA).
